A special little Gris from Mada wines, with fruit coming from outside of the Canberra region due to the effects of the 2020 bushfires - in this case, from Mt Alexander in Bendigo. Pressed to steel and oak for fermentation, with a 7% addition of whole berry-fermented Vermentino. Zippy and fresh, with crunchy green apple, stonefruit, a bit of spice, and mandarin peel.

If it isn't immediately obvious, we're big fans of Bryan Martin's wines, and this release perfectly encapsulates why. The 2019 Estate Sangiovese showcases morello cherry, dark chocolate, coffee, and mulled wine spices with grainy tannins and a lick of acidity to keep things fresh. Throw it in the decanter for an hour or two to let it unwind in time for dinner!

The 2019 Shiraz Viognier is awash with violet flower aromatics which lead the way towards a palate of juicy blood plum, bramble fruits, mocha spice, and a little high-toned orange peel. The tannins are firm yet elegantly structured, with a long and complex finish.
