Get a load of this! This intriguing wine is made from a plot of Kyoho table grapes which were planted at Bella Ridge's Swan Valley vineyard in the 1980s. The grape is highly prized in Japan due to its intensely exotic flavours, high sugar content, and thick skin which allows for the pulp to be easily squeezed out. The Kyoho Red is aged in French oak barrels, giving it gentle tobacco leaf and spice undertones which support a generous palate of sour cherry, redcurrant, and pomegranate. For the wine geeks watching at home, it sits somewhere between an old-school Rioja and a Jura red.
