Made by Helmut Dönnhoff and his son Cornelius, in the prolific Nahe region in Germany. Kirsche is the German word for 'cherry' alluding to the wild cherries that once grew between the vines on the ancient Kirschhek vineyard. Powerful, concentrated fruit comes to the fore in this Riesling, which is marked by pure, fine-boned acidity. White cherry, honey blossom, apple, and white flowers with a lovely imprint of slate-like minerals and powdery texture.
