A fascinating white blend from Charlotte and Thomas Carsin in Anjou in the Loire Valley, bringing Chenin Blanc (55%), Sauvignon Blanc (30%), and Grolleau Gris (15%) into perfect harmony. Coming from older certified organic vines, Roc'h Avel starts with light peach aromatics, a subtle oxidative note, spicy ginger, apple, an underlying savouriness, and a saline undertow. Quite a delight.
